REGISTRATION: Only online at www.skireg.com. $50 by 1/17/08 at 2300; Registration closed at 2300 on 1/17/08 or earlier if 300 person limit is reached.  No DOR registrations.  Kids 13 and under and touring with an adult - $20 by 01/17/08.  Entry includes feed stations, post race meal, awards and random prizes.  Random prizes to both racers and tourers.   No refunds will be made.  Touring Class is not timed.  The event committee may modify or shorten the event due to weather conditions.  Entry fees are not refundable due to event cancellations, nor are they transferable to another person or event.

CLASSES: Male and Female timed and untimed touring class.  Normal NENSA 5-year age groupings for timed race.

DISTANCE: 30 Km

WAXING AREA -- Outdoors near stadium

REST ROOMS are available onsite

START TIMES:

  • Timed Race: 1000
  • Untimed touring participants: 1001 Sharp!

START: Mass Start

TECHNIQUE: Classic - no skating technique permitted.

COURSE: To be determined

SKIER ETIQUETTE:  There are tourists and other competitors on the trails.  There are sections of the course which have two-way traffic.  Paying customers are not a cause for protest.  Unless passing or clear view please stay to right.

SAFETY:  Report any accidents or issues to the next feed station or road crossing personnel.  Emergency Medical Staff will be available at the Start and Finish areas.  Remember to drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.

DROPOUTS:  If for some reason you're forced to drop out, please let feed station or finish area staff know.  This is for your safety and will eliminate the need for a search effort.

FINISH:   Do not cross the finish line unless you have completed the entire race.  Tourers should proceed through designated finish so that we can record that you have safely and successfully competed the entire course.

GROOMING:  Pisten Bully grooming with tiller daily, full track.  Snow will be tilled and tracked for the race at least 5 hours prior to start.  Wax recommendation will be posted on this page on 1/18/08.

TIMING: Electronic.  Official Timing will stop at 1400 (2:00 p.m.).

PARKING on Race Day: Parking is available at Jackson Ski Touring Center. Additional parking at the Town Hall and Grammar School and Gray's Inn lot.

FEED STATIONS:  Aid Stations are located at appropriate spots along the course.  Check map at race registration. 

LOST and FOUND: Jackson Ski Touring Center

AWARDS LOCATION: At the Jackson Ski Touring Center at 1500 (3:00 p.m.)

POST RACE FEED LOCATION: Serving from noon to 2:15 p.m at the Jackson Community Church Parish.  Your race bib is your ticket.
