NEW TRAIL GROOMER AND MAINTENANCE FACILITY
AT JACKSON
SKI TOURING
Jackson, NH – Jackson Ski Touring Foundation, in Jackson, New
Hampshire has completed the construction of a new
maintenance facility which will function as the base of grooming operations for
the largest cross country ski center in the Northeast. The facility was built in cooperation with the
Eagle Mountain House a luxury hotel in the quaint village in the heart of the White Mountains.
The new building will provide a warm working environment for the
Foundation’s fleet of grooming vehicles and other maintenance equipment.
“Our new maintenance facility has a
direct benefit for our skiers. Keeping
these machines running is extraordinarily important for the ski
conditions. Grooming is only as good as
the people and equipment that do the work.
This new facility allows our operators to keep the machines in top shape
and on the trails” said Thom Perkins, Executive Director of Jackson Ski
Touring.
The Jackson Ski Touring Foundation
is currently fundraising to finish paying for the $100,000 facility. Approximately $47,000 still needs to be raised,
and the Foundation continues to accept tax-deductible donations to support the
new facility.
