The photo finish of the World Cup sprint race in Obersdorf, Germany with Andy Newell taking 4th missing the podium by the length of a toe.  Andy raced here as a junior and did well in the 2000 Jackson Junior Olympics - he won the sprint race and helped New England win the Gold medal in the relay.  Andy will join Carl Swenson, Chris and Justin Freeman and the rest of the team to represent the United States at the Olympic Games in Turin, ITA next month.

Weekly Jackson Grammar School PE Class Wed 1/25/06 at 9:30 a.m.  K-2 in this session.  Kids come throughout the day by class to ski.

The JSTF trail crew and volunteer Nancy Ritger heading up Wildcat Ski Area's chairlift.  The goal is the summit so that they can clear the remaining trees damaged by the October storm.  Dec 2, 2005 - Front to back left to right - Laurie, Nancy, Steve, Alan, and Jon.  Thanks Wildcat Ski Area for the lift (saves a lot of walking)!

Skiers enjoying the "fast grass" skiing on Friday, Nov. 25, 2005 - Wentworth Fields.

New bridge at the intersection of the Ellis River Trail and the Hall Trail.  This bridge replaced the original bridge damaged in the spring floods.  Bridge cost has not been finalized but is estimated at $25,000.  The new bridge was completed 11/22/05.  48,000 lbs of concrete blocks, 10,000 lbs of steel and 1,500 lbs of wood, 2 culverts and 20 yards of dirt.  Enjoy.
