The big news for today is the Winter Storm Warning that is in effect. We are right on the line to receive 10-18 inches by Wednesday morning. The snow has just started coming down, bring it on blizzard of 2015! We held off on grooming last night, waiting to pack down the snow throughout the day. High winds are predicted with this storm, so we will be working on keeping the snow packed down on the open fields, we will also be grooming the Southern Ellis River Trail and the Wave complex. I am sure most are taking a snow day today, what better way to enjoy it, then to go for a great ski. If you can’t make it up today, call in sick tomorrow, it will so be worth it.
You still have a few days left to take advantage of January Learn to Ski Month for $19. This low price includes your trail pass for the day, your rentals and a 1 hour beginner classic lesson to get you started. You can join in on Thursday and this coming Saturday. You must call or email firstname.lastname@example.org at least 1 day in advance. With this new snow, it’s a wonderful time to learn to ski.
Ski with a Friend of Jackson Ski Touring on Sunday morning at 10:00 am. Meet Marianne by the fireplace at the touring center. Ski with a friend tours are geared to get people to experience a trail that they haven’t skied before, or for those who are just looking for someone to show them the trails. These tours are FREE with your day or seasons pass. Come make a new Ski Friend!
Stay tuned for total snowfall amounts with this storm and if you can’t make it today, we hope to see you this weekend.
If you would like to receive our daily conditions report directly to your inbox every morning, we would be happy to add you to the list. Send your request and email address to info@Jacksonxc.org. It’s the best way to stay the most up to date on conditions.
I’ll see you out on the trails!
