Snowshoe Information
Jackson has long been known for it
winter activities. Snowshoes have been used as
tools by local residents for decades. The
Foundation maintains trails specifically
designated for snowshoeing. Trails lead from the
Touring Center to Nestlenook Farm and advanced
adventures can be found in the upper elevations
of Prospect Farm and in the National Forest
trails on our system. Ask at the information desk
for advice and maps.
Try our Eskergo Snowshoe Trail. It parallels the Ellis River Trail
from Jackson XC to the Hot Chocolate Cabin. Your friends
might be skiing but you can still meet them for a cup of hot
chocolate at the Cabin. Then explore the Thirsty Owl and Moosabunga Loop on your way back to Jackson.
Check our Calendar of Events for
frequent Instructional Guided Snowshoe Nature
