Trail Report

Updated daily during the season – Please “refresh” your screen if the dates look “off”

Thursday, March 28-For the 2nd night, there was no grooming last night. Yesterday’s mild temperatures and light precipitation were followed by last night’s continuous (not hard, but continuous) precipitation and the snow is pretty fragile right now.

Depths are still good in many places at Prospect and on the golf course (where there is a machine-made snow base.) When the rain stop and the temperatures fall there should be some good skiing for the weekend. And there is actually snow in the forecast for next week.

There is no charge to use the trails at this time and skier services are not available, however contributions acknowledging the work that goes into preparing the trails all year, and including periodic grooming in the post season are welcome.

We are hosting a Solar Eclipse Viewing Party at the Touring Center along with our friends from Tin Mountain Conservation Center and Upper Saco Valley Land Trust. Details (there are not a lot of details, this is very casual) are shown below and on our calendar page. Please register so we have an idea how many are coming and it you want the special glasses please purchase them through the registration link.

The Touring Center building will be open from 9 am to 3 pm. The rental shop is not open.

Please use the live grooming app or link for specific trails.

Monday, April 8, 2-4pm

Jackson Ski Touring Lodge, Jackson

Join Tin Mountain, Jackson Ski Touring Foundation and the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust for a community viewing party of the solar eclipse. While Jackson is just out of the path of totality, we think 99% isn’t too shabby! We invite those who want to share this epic event with others, but aren’t up for battling traffic in the north country. There will be simulations of the eclipse process and viewing glasses will be available for purchase. We hope you’ll join us! Register HERE

Quail on Fri, March 22

The Touring Center is now “officially closed” for the ski season, however we are a year ’round operation. The building will be open most weekdays while we are in the office and/or working on things near the building (and in the summer the building is open for the Wentworth Golf operation.)

Trails that are on private land are now closed. Trails where there is good cover and public access are primarily the Prospect Farm Trails.

Season passes for next season are now on sale at the lowest prices of the year. Thank you to all who have made the commitment already! Season Pass purchase link.
