Jan 21 Ski Report

Two inches of fluffy new snow and cold overnight temperatures give groomers and skiers something to cheer about. (Link to Trail Report Page.) While the Central Village received just a dusting, higher elevation trails in the Ellis River Corridor (Maple, S. Hall, Keeney) and Prospect Farm/Carter Notch Trails picked up 1.5 to 2″ of delightful snow. Yesterday’s skiers enjoyed the fluff and today’s skiers will reap the benefits of this snow getting groomed into the skate platform and classic tracks. Higher elevation snow is packed powder; as you descend to the Ellis River Trail and Wentworth the snow is groomed granular. There is beginner terrain, but the distances are limited; Speed Camp will take place in the practice arena. Intermediate and advanced skiers have many kilometers to choose from.
